wisata Gunung Kaba (atau Bukit Kaba) ini sangat cocok bagi kamu yang
suka akan tantangan. Gunung Kaba berada di Bengkulu, lebih tepatnya di
daerah Kecamatan Curup, Kabupaten Rejang Lebong.
Perbukitaan Kaba merupakan salah satu sentra penghasil sayur dan buah,
karena tanahnya yang begitu subur sehingga hamparan warna-warni buah dan
sayur bisa di lihat dari kejauhan. Gunung bukit Kaba berupa kawah
gunung yang dapat menyemburkan asam dan belerang. Sepanjang perjalanan
mendaki Gunung akan di banyak menjumpai satwa liar yang berada di hutan
Gunung Kaba. Pengunjung gunung berapi Bukit Kaba dapat menjangkau puncak
kawah dengan hiking melintasi hutan alam. Dari puncak gunung, kamu bisa
melihat pemandangan Kota Curup, gugusan pegunungan Bukit Barisan, Bukit
Bungkuk, sampai Bukit Telunjuk.
Bukit Kaba merupakan gunung api kembar dengan Gunung Hitam yang telah
padam. Pada puncaknya terdapat tiga buah kawah yang cukup indah untuk
dinikmati. Pendakian dari kaki bukit menuju pemantang durian sekitar 4
jam perjalanan dan dari pemantang durian akan memakan waktu 2 jam untuk
menuju puncak Gunung Kaba. Kamu juga bisa menikmati indahnya matahari
terbit dari atas bukit. Kawah yang begitu cantik dan dikelilingi
perbukitan hijau yang alami merupakan pemandangan yang tiada habisnya
dalam menambah eksotisnya pemandangan di Bukit Gunung Kaba. Terdapat
pula air terjun di sudut bukit yang menambah lengkap wisata alam kamu.
Fasilitas tangga di lereng luar Kawah Lama memudahkan kamu untuk
mencapai bibir kawah-kawah lainnya di kawasan puncak. Sumber mata air
panas Air Meles ( di lereng barat daya) dan Air Sempiang (di lereng
selatan) juga merupakan tempat-tempat yang potensial bagi wisata gunung
api di Kabupaten Rejang Lebong.
Akses ke Gunung Kaba
Untuk menuju obyek wisata ini dapat melalui barat Bengkulu sekitar
90km atau melalui arah timur yaitu dari Palembang melewati Kabupaten
Lahat dan Lubuk Linggau menuju Curup, perjalanan di lanjutkan ke kampung
bukit Kaba dan berkemah di Desa Sumber Urip (sebelah utara Gunung)
sekitar 25 km.
Naik Bus: Dari Bengkulu naik angkutan umum yang menuju kota Curup
Terminal Pasar Panorama (2 jam, ongkos Rp 25.000). Di Curup terus naik
angkutan tujuan Desa Sumber atau Kampung Bukit Kaba (1 jam, ongkos Rp.
10.000)
About Mount Kaba
Mount
Kaba (Gunung Kaba or sometimes also Bukit Kaba (Kaba Hill)) a 1937m
high former volcano and is very suitable for those who like a hiking
challenge. It is located west of Bengkulu, more precisely in the Rejang
Lebong Subdistrict.
The lower parts of the hills of Mt. Kaba are very fertile and are a major centre for the growth of vegetables and fruit. The large expanse of colorful fruits and vegetables can be seen from a distance. You can hike up the mountain through the forests where you may encounter rare wildlife. At the top of the mountain you can see on a clear day Curup City, the mountains cluster of Bukit Barisan, Bukit Bungkuk, till as far as Bukit Telunjuk.
Mount Kaba itself has volcanic craters that can give off acid and sulfur.
Mt Kaba is a twin volcano with Gunung Hitam (Black Mountain) which has been dormant for quite some time. At the peak of Mt Kaba are three beautiful craters. The climb from the foot of the hill towards the top will take about 6 hours. If you leave in the evening and walk up the mountain in the night you also enjoy the beautiful sunrise at the top of the mountain. Be sure to get a guide if you plan to do this.
The craters are beautiful and surrounded by green hills so an endless landscape of nature lies before you. To complete your nature consumption there is a waterfall on the side of the hill.
There are stairs on the Kawah Lama (Old Crater) to get to the other craters in the summit. To complete your visit you can relax after a long day walk at the hot springs Air Meles (on the southwest slope) or Air Sempiang (on the southern slope).

The Mountain is suitated approximately 90km west of Bengkulu near the city of Curup. To get there take a bus in Bengkulu to Curup (2 hours Rp. 25.000), from there continue by bus to Kampung Bukit Kaba (1 hour, Rp.10.000).Sign up here with your email
